BIOGRAPHY
Lily Hudson is a Tlingit performance and multimedia artist.
Following her matrilineal line, She is Raven Takdeintaan (Black-legged
Kittiwake)from the Snail House in Hoonah, Alaska. Born and
raised in Juneau, her Alaska Native heritage breathes life
into everything she produces.
Lily is an award-winning storyteller, Company Actor at Perseverance
Theatre, and frequent Guest Teaching Artist in the Juneau
School District.
Her recent teaching work includes:
* Ravenstail instruction for the Yakoosge Dakahidi Alternative
High School,
* Guest Storyteller for the CHOICE program at Juneau Douglas
High School,
* Featured Storyteller at Smithsonian Museum of the American
Indian, New York City, February 2008 as part of the Listening
to Our Ancestors Exhibit.
* Math tutor at the University of Alaska Southeast, Juneau
Lily holds a BLA in Language Arts & Communication from
University of Alaska, and trained in acting at The American
Conservatory Theatre, San Francisco.
Lily lives and works in Juneau, Alaska with her playwright
husband, Ishmael Hope and daughter, Elizabeth.
